    MOBILE RESPONSE SERVICES

    The Utah Department of Human Services offers Mobile Response Services, provided to individuals in their homes to address immediate challenges and offer support.

    These services aim to:

    Minimize the impact of challenges on individuals and their families. Develop safety plans tailored to the situation. Facilitate connections to other valuable resources.

    STABILIZATION SERVICES

    In addition to Mobile Response Services, short-term Stabilization Services may be provided to ensure the long-term success of families.

    These services include:

    Teaching valuable skills to improve family functioning. Creating comprehensive plans to prepare for and prevent future challenges. Working to prevent the need for out-of-home services by equipping families with ongoing resources and support.

    The Utah Parent Center (UPC). The Utah Parent Center (UPC) is dedicated to empowering parents to support their children, youth, and young adults with disabilities, helping them thrive as integral members of the community. UPC fulfills its mission through the provision of:

    Empathetic peer support: Creating a compassionate network of shared experiences.

  • The Family Support Center

    At the crisis nurseries operated by the Utah Parent Center, caregivers can find a safe haven for themselves and their children, offering respite regardless of the reason. These nurseries go beyond traditional childcare, focusing on creating a secure environment and equipping children with essential social-emotional tools for their future.

    The Family Support Center provides FREE Crisis Nursery care for children ages 0–11 at three convenient locations in the Salt Lake Valley.

    Caregivers turn to the nursery not only for respite but also for therapy appointments, emergency daycare, court appointments, and medical emergencies.
